Vacation Beach House near Kahaluu Beach Park - Hawaii holiday home Big Island

Hi, I'm Marilee, and I used to live here—just a few quick blocks from the beach. Then my husband Ted and I got homesick, so we moved back to Northern California to spoil our grandchildren. Now we're renting out our former Hawaiian home as a vacation property—by the week or month. We still stay here a few weeks out of the year, so you know we're keeping the place in beautiful condition.

We're less than a mile from Kahaluu—the best snorkeling on the entire Big Island of Hawaii. It's a five-minute drive from the vacation rental, or a pleasant fifteen minute walk if you're up for it. Once you're there, you can snorkle with the turtles and stunning tropical fish, surf, swim, barbecue, or just work on your tan. One block from Magic Sands Beach.

Rental notes: The price is for entire house rental. House rental upstairs & downstairs is 350USD/night during Christmas/Ironman. Hawaii vacation rental upstairs only: 1500USD/wk (when available), Full amount due 30 days in advance, 175USD cleaning fee

The rental's big, open-plan living room and dining room includes a bar that transitions to the kitchen. The living room itself is filled with gorgeous, atmospheric bamboo and rattan so you know you've made it to Hawaii; a sliding glass door lets you onto the lanai. Though it's the smaller of the two living rooms in the vacation rental, there's still room to spare down here. Master King-size suite with private bath and private lanai. Second queen size bedroom with private lanai and adjacent full bath. King size bedroom with lanai overlooking pool and adjacent bath.

Outside Area:Our house has a spacious 700 square ft. wraparound lanai, with four chaise lounges and a dining table for four. Great for creating your own private luau, watching for cruise ships coming into the Kona port. Huge garden with 15' x 30'pool. palm trees, coral trees, poincianna, mango. Outside pool bath.
