Enchanting vacation villa with private swimming pool located in a quiet, well established residential area, yet close to the lake Maggiore and the city of Intra Verbania, Italy. The holiday villa is situated only 1 km from the lake Maggiore: 5 minutes with car or 15 minutes walking down the hill side with nice lake views. Intra Verbania is a lively town with many shops, bars and restaurants. You can stroll along the beautiful lakefront promenade and hop on the ferries to discover all parts and beaches of Lago Maggiore, Italy. In the nearby mountain valleys a wide range of leisure activities and sports (hiking, mountain biking) are offered. The owner is living in an apartment under the house but has a separate entrance and will not interfere at all with your stay: the house, garden and swimming pool are for your use only.

Lake Maggiore is the second biggest Italian lake after Lago di Garda, its eastern bank is in Lombardy, the western in Piedmont while the northern section extends into Switzerland. The charming little towns along its shores are popular resorts today with their grand hotels recalling the Belle Epoque. The most renowned towns of Lago Maggiore on the Piedmont side are Arona, Stresa with its refined elegance, Verbania Pallanza and the town Intra, the charming village Cannero Riviera with a nice beach and Cannobio, close to Switserland. On the Lombard side there are the town Luino and its famous market, Maccagno with a popular beach, the charming Laveno and its cableway towards a panoramic view, and finally the laid-back village Angera and its Castle La Rocca. Especially noteworthy are the islands just in front of Stresa, these small islands include: Isola Bella with the majestic Borromeo pallace, Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s Island) and Isola Madre with its bothanical garden. From Stresa there is a cableway up to the Mottarone mountain providing a spectacular view over Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. In winter it’s possible to ski here and in summer it’s a great day out for walking around or mountain biking your way down to Stresa. Just next to the golden triangle of Lake Maggiore (Stresa, Verbania, Laveno), don’t forget to visit the beautiful monastery of Santa Caterina del Sasso.

Rental notes: Security deposit on arrival (obligatory): 400 euro. Final cleaning (obligatory/week): 50 euro. Heating charge based on consumption. Domestic animals allowed (upon prior request only). In high seasons: bookings per week (saturday). In low and medium season: bookings per day.

The luxury villa sleeps up to 6 persons: on the main floor is a bedroom with double bed and bathroom with bathtub. On the first floor is a bedroom with double bed, bedroom with 2 single beds and bathroom with shower. The house is tastefully and lovingly decorated as if it was your own home: spacious living room with stylish furniture, comfortable couches and flat screen TV, elegant dining table, piano, open fire place. Fully equipped kitchen with dish washer. Furthermore available CD, DVD, washing machine.

Outside Area:The large French doors in the living room open out on to the charming garden and swimming pool (12x7m) with deck chairs and sun loungers. The gazebo with stone dining table and bbq are ideal for dining and living al fresco during the warm summer evenings. The garden is completely fenced.
