We've found our little paradise, come and share it with us. Our two cottages provide comfort and tranquillity in a rural setting, with easy access to the nearest town. Situated in the attractive and peaceful hamlet of Le Pouzat, both cottages offer comfort in a country setting. While based in the heart of rural France they are only two minutes away from the village of Loulay offering all the essentials for French living. Ten minutes away is the larger market town of St Jean D'Angely, offering a cornucopia of shops and restaurants. You can relax in the pool or enjoy the shade of the walnut tree in the orchard garden. Both properties have their own private patio areas with barbeque facilities. Or if your want to try something different why not book a day walking with llamas. The cottages have been totally refurbished and have all mod cons. You will have use of a ten metre swimming pool and we provide a welcome hamper on arrival.

Our properties are located in the Charente Maritime département on the west coast of France. This is an area renowned for white sandy beaches, beautiful flower-filled Cognac countryside and oysters. There are large areas of woodland and forests and the agricultural land is used principally for growing sunflowers, grapes, wheat and maize. In many parts of the region, vineyards and sunflower fields stretch for as far as the eye can see The micro-climate makes it the second sunniest region in France (after the Cote d'Azur). The area is very popular with French tourists and numerous Parisians keep holiday homes in the area. Our cottages are in the peaceful hamlet of Le Pouzat. They are only two minutes away from the village of Loulay offering all the essentials for French living. Ten minutes away is the larger historical market town of St Jean D'Angely, offering a wide range of entertainment, shops and restaurants.

Sunflower Cottage is a beautifully restored detached farm cottage bordering open countryside. The ground floor has a wonderful open plan living area which includes a fully equipped kitchen and a very comfortable lounge with a traditional charentaise fireplace, oak beams and a useful double bed settee. The upper floor features three bedrooms and a bathroom: Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with an original French bedstead. Bedroom 2: Twin bedded room with oak beds. Bedroom 3: Pine bunk bedded room. Bathroom with shower, w.c. and hand basin. Grapevine Cottage is a beautifully restored detached farm cottage bordering open countryside, sleeping 4-6 people. It has a spacious lounge/dining room with a comfortable bed settee and a separate fully equipped kitchen.

Outside Area:Both cottages have private patios with barbeque facilites, the use of 10.5m x 5m swimming pool in the orchard garden, garden games and table tennis. There is ample parking with secure gates and private drive within the property.
