Bourg St Maurice holiday chalet rental - Rhone-Alpes ski chalet France

La Grange is situated in the Upper Tarentaise in the French Alps, just a short distance from Bourg St Maurice. It is an ideal base for mountain holidays, a few minutes from the Les Arcs funiculaire and only a short drive from the resorts of Val d'Isère, Tignes, La Plagne, La Rosière and Ste Foy. The chalet is situated in the garden of its owners, who tranformed this former farm building into a warm and welcoming environment for holidaymakers. Your chalet is fully prepared for you before your arrival, with your beds made up (bed linen is provided for free) and towels in the bathrooms. The chalet has its own patio area but guests are also welcome to make use of the communal garden which includes a barbeque and there is off-road parking. The local town provides all amenities, restaurants, a cinema etc. As for the countryside, it is quite spectacular and full of holiday options, both in winter when the snow provides a wonderland for skiers and boarders, and in summer when the mountains transform into a playground for walkers, hikers, bikers, horse-riders, kayakists etc

The Upper Tarentaise is so full of activities, we daren't even try to list them all as we are bound to forget something! What we can say is that there is a swimming pool within five minutes walking distance from La Grange, a number of walks beginning virtually at the doorstep and almost anything else you feel like doing within a short distance. The mountains provide so much in the winter and summer - aside from the obvious alpine skiing and hiking. We are right on the edge of the Vanoise National Park, a wonderful site for exploring local flora and fauna. And the Isère River offers plenty of white water activities. We suggest you consult the local tourist office websites for fuller details. You will find a file of brochures etc., in your holiday apartment on arrival.

Rental notes: Payment is accepted in euros or sterling by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Rental is from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 11am but we are happy to be flexible when possible. Please ask about short stays as we will do these if we can. We ask for one third of the rent on reservation. This is non-refundable in case of cancellation. We also offer discounts for stays of more than one week.

The chalet comprises two main bedrooms on the first floor (each with an en-suite shower and toilet) that can be made up either as doubles or twins. There is also a bunk-bed annex off one of the rooms. The ground floor includes a spacious kitchen/dining area with a separate living room which has a sofa-bed (140cm x 190cm). The kitchen is well equipped and there is a utility room and a separate toilet. There are plenty of games, books and DVDs as well, plus wifi acces, a flat screen TV and a hi-fi.

Outside Area:While the chalet has its own patio area, guests are invited to make full use of the communal garden, including a barbeque. They can relax in a deck chair in the shade of the trees or play boules in the parking area. Our hens in the far corner of the garden will be delighted to finish up your leftovers and will doubtless give you a few eggs in return!
