At our first stay on Bonaire, we were fascinated by the unique atmosphere of this island and especially by the fantastic underwater world. With a valid diving certification, an introduction at one of the dive centers and after payment of the STINAPA nature fee start discovering the 50 dive sites accessible directly from the beach and individually – just rent a pick-up and off you go! Of course, you can find plenty of boat dives and guided dives offered by the various dive centers, for example on Klein Bonaire or on the wild side of the island. Geographically, Bonaire forms part of the Lesser Antilles as the second largest of the three ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao), located north of Venezuela. Restaurants from fast-food to quality dining should leave nothing to be desired. Banks/ATM and post office can also be found in the city center. In case you should need medical care, there is a pharmacy and even a hospital available, located downtown Kralendijk, too.

Kas bou di Streanan is located in the quiet (despite being close to the airport) and neat residential area Belnem/Lima, about 5 km (3 mi) south of the capital Kralendijk. The beaches "Bachelor's Beach" and "Playa Palu di Mangel" are very close, so the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea are well within walking distance.
