Domme holiday gite rental - French self catering Aquitaine gite

Our Perigordian style house stands at the end of a quiet rural lane and adjacent to one of the many way-marked foot paths in the area. You can walk to Domme in under 15 minutes with its fortified gateways, caves, pretty streets, spectacular views and a variety of shops and restaurants. The rooms are light and airy, tastefully furnished and have french doors leading out onto eating and relaxing areas. The self contained gite is at garden level and consists of a fully equiped kitchen plus two spacious bedrooms with large en-suite wet rooms. Due to its location and construction the gite stays pleasantly cool in the hot summer months. There are many interesting places to visit near by, caves, chateaux, pretty villages as well as the river Dordogne for canoeing.

Another local village, Cenac ,is a short drive away or a 20 minute walk, and has excellent shops and amenities, including a weekly market. The Dordogne river is just a 5 minute walk from the village where you can rent canoes, swim in the river or just relax with a picnic. This area is a superb location to explore the historical sites of the Dordogne region with many nearby chateaux. Perched on the heights of a cliff, Domme is a classic bastide town with fortified gateways and walls. Classified as one of Most Beautiful Villages of France, within the town there is an underground network of caves plus shops and fine restaurants, and exceptional panoramic views over the Dordogne.

Our two double B&B bedrooms are tastefully decorated using high-quality materials and bedding. Both are well appointed with en-suite wet rooms, tea and coffee making facilities and hair dryers. Beautifully decorated and with tiled floors, they are both light and cool in the summer. Gite - Garden level apartment consists of a well equipped kitchen/diner and two double bedrooms, both with large en-suite wet rooms. A lovely cool location in the hot summer.

Outside Area:There is a patio area, garden, car parking space, splash pool and a great open aspect bordered by fields and trees.
