If it's a beach holiday with nearby pubs and nightlife you want, then this is not for you ! We can't even offer you a swimming pool ! All we can offer is comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price, in a quiet village away from the hustle and bustle of the city. At the foot hills of the Troodos mountains the village of Arakapas nestles in a valley amongst the citrus groves of Cyprus, approximately 40Km drive to the North East of Limassol. The village is a centrally located base from which you can explore. Away from the more usual tourist areas you will experience the real delights of Cyprus and it's people. It's not total isolation though ! There is a main taverna called Kalamaris serving delicious Cypriot food, from a simple Souvlaki to a full blown Meze. There is also a village shop, a butcher, a bank and two coffee shops and a smaller taverna called Antoni's.

The road leading from the motorway up to your destination, winds its way up the mountains and leaves the city far behind. All around are breath taking views, and beckoning villages where you could stop and take in the atmosphere over a cup of coffee and maybe sample some local breads and pastries. On your approach to the village of Arakapas take a moment to stop by the side of the road and breath the clean mountain air with its many scents such as Honey-Suckle, Jasmin, and of course the many varieties of Citrus trees. Your first point of interest on arrival in the village, is the large open village square which is most notable for the small 11th century church of 'Panagia Iamatiki' across the road from the more modern church of the same name. There are pilgrimages here every year to witness the 'Weeping Icons'. This is the heart of the village with it's Tavernas, Coffee shops, Village hall, and Community gardens, and where many activities and festivals take place throughout

Payment is made through 'Paypal' using a credit/debit card or 'Paypal' account(If you have one) you do not need to have a Paypal account to pay. There are no specific change over days. There is no minimum or maximum number of days you can stay (except long let minimum 21). Departure times - Check in and out at your convenience within reason (we will require to aid us in preparing the property between guests by providing proposed arrival times). The self catering accommodation comprises of a single story, studio dwelling in the style of a traditional Cypriot village house, with a modern touch. Although fairly small, the internal area is more than adequate, as most of your time is spent outside.
