Buckingham House is superbly located, just ten minutes walk from the beautiful ancient Walled City Centre and Chester Cathedral. It is also only a ten minute walk to the historic 16th Century Chester Race Course and all the major attractions. Escape for a few days. Buckingham House is the perfect place to switch off, enabling visitors to spend a day visiting Liverpool Water Front, Conway or Caernavon Castles in North Wales. There is easy access to both places using British Rail or the Mersey Ferries, which are fun and relaxing. Why not visit Chester Zoo or Chester Cathedrals Mystery Plays? Or perhaps accommodation for a Chester Business Conference?

The bedrooms in Buckingham House are spacious and impeccably kept. Just as you would expect. Attractive and comfortable rooms. But they are also individually decorated, with a grace and charm rarely found in a modern hotel, yet quite in keeping with the Victorian origins of this fine building. Cool in the summer, yet cosy and warm in the winter and autumn months, all our rooms are both welcoming and secure. Buckingham House is just the ticket for the weary traveller after a hard day's sight-seeing. Or for the business traveller, who needs to be bright and alert for that all-important meeting. Each room has an en-suite bathroom or shower, together with tea-making facilities. Secure, off-road parking is also available to our guests. Downstairs, guests can make themselves at home in our lounge, with its well­ stocked library and comfortable arm chairs.
