With accommodations ranging from private cottages with all the comforts of home, to cabins and tent sites tucked into the landscape, The Woods at Wihakowi has something for everyone. A short drive to many of Central Vermont's best attractions, ski areas, recreational activities and dining establishments, this secluded hideaway is just seconds from the VAST snowmobile trail system, and has its own 36-acres of meadows, hiking and snowshoeing trails, a brook, waterfall, swimming pool, tree house, and tennis courts for plenty of year-round outdoor fun. The perfect weekend getaway, or a place to gather friends, family or associates for an event, retreat or reunion. Our cottages, cabins and bunkhouses are free-standing units, set comfortably apart from one another, and many with their own private facilities. Located in Northfield, Vermont, at almost exactly the geographic center of the state, The Woods is close to many local attractions, dining, sightseeing and recreational activities. Known for the state's largest Labor Day Celebration, Northfield was once the headquarters of the Central Vermont Railway. There are four covered bridges in Northfield Falls, along a scenic drive, and Norwich Univeristy, the country's oldest private military college, is home to Kreitzberg Arena, a modern intercollegiate facility that has served as the host site for the NCAA Division III men's ice hockey champions in 1999, 2003, and 2004. Hockey is big in Northfield, and not only can you catch the 2000/2003 National Champion Cadets playing, but the local leagues play at the arena as well, and all are open to the public. Montpelier, the state capitol, is just 15 miles up the road, and offers many choices for shopping and dining, from coffee shops and bakeries to ethnic and gourmet restaurants.

If you prefer, you may pay your deposit by credit card or PayPal for an additional 5% processing fee. To pay by credit card, call us at 877-966-3588. We accept PayPal payments made to woods@thewoodsvt.com. All deposits are non-refundable unless the unit is re-booked for the entire duration of the original reservation, then a $50 cancellation fee applies. Cancellation day of arrival or a no show constitutes full payment. No refunds for early departures.

Each of our cottages has its own kitchen and bath, satellite TV, internet access, and decorative gas log stove.
