Welcome to the Eastern Algarve O Pequeno Castelo, the Little Castle, offers you B&B in double rooms and self-catering apartments off the beaten track in a friendly and homely setting. You will find us only ten minutes by car from the beach of Pedras d´el Rei and 4 miles from the picturesque town of Tavira. Santo Estevão (Saint Stephen), a typical Algarvian village is only about one mile or a fifteen minute walk along orchards of carobs, figs, oranges, almonds and olives. In the village you will find a small but very good restaurant, coffee shops, mini-markets, post-office, chemist and cash point . Enjoy your breakfast on the veranda with a splendid view over the Atlantic. At the Little Castle you can enjoy your holidays in a pastoral area away from mass-tourism in a true Portuguese atmosphere. There are excellent walking tracks where spectacular scenery and gently rolling hills offer you the chance to get to know the country and its people. We are happy to share our knowledge of the region with our guests and to provide them with all necessary information to make their own individual holiday a success.

Tavira, the most exquisite town on the south coast and one of the loveliest in Portugal is worth more then one visit. The medieval arcades, graceful cloisters and ancient walls of Tavira´s mansions, castle, churches and monasteries frame handsome piazzas. Coming across the seven arched roman bridge you may wonder how Tavira has kept its back firmly against the tide of modern development. If ever the lure of the ocean dulls you will find that the wooded hills of the serra behind Tavira with its picturesque little villages offer beautiful and unspoiled terrain for exploring and walking. Small restaurants invite to get to know the typical dishes of the region and its excellent wines. Discover the Eastern Algarve with its all year round warm climate where temperatures even in winter never drop below 14 C and most days you will be able to go for long walks or to sunbathe on one of the long sandy beaches. The Little Castle offers two self-catering apartments, "Atlantico" and "Romantica", each sleeping up to four people. Our B&B double rooms "Don" and "Casablanca" are both spacious and have access to a terrace with views to the sea and the swimming pool.

Outside Area:The Little Castle sits in 7000 m2 of garden on the sunny side of a secluded valley with beautyful views to the Atlantic.
