The house is located in the southernmost part of Islamorada (Lower Matecumbe) where the ocean is separated from the bay by only a narrow highway. Bring your boat and dock it at our canal or rent a boat from one of the many rental boat places in the Keys. The house is very near Channel 2 and Channel 5 bridges where the best Tarpon fishing in the Keys is found.
The Keys are a 106 miles chain of islands bordered by the Atlantic ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. Driving the length of the keys means traveling over 42 bridges, including the longest bridge in the U.S., the Seven Mile Bridge. The main road, The Overseas Highway, is marked by mile markers, starting with Key West at MM1. Our house is in MM 73.5, exactly 1 1/2 hours from Miami or 1 1/2 hours from Key West.
