Mailhac is in the department of the Aude (11) but close to the Herault (34). It lies north of Narbonne and mid-way between the ancient cities of Béziers and Carcassonne. The gently undulating Minervois is crossed by a number of rivers and the world famous Canal du Midi. It lies between the Black Mountains and the National Park of the High Languedoc to the north and to the south by the wild Corbiere. 5 minutes from Azillanet by car in a southerly direction brings you to the small town of Olonzac, with all its facilities and a bustling market. 5 minutes on from there is Lake Jouarres, where you can swim, fish, do water-sports and it is also a good area for cycling and walking. It has a pebble beach; free parking; a cafe; lifeguards; barbecue facilities; gardens and a stretch of grass for sunbathing and games.

The accommodation consists of 3 large bedrooms - 2 are en-suite and can each sleep 3 people, the other is a double room, all on the first floor. There is a large country kitchen with lounge space, dining area and a beautiful, huge marble fireplace on the ground floor. Hall and stairs are communal.

Outside Area:There is an extra toilet downstairs for guests and a large room for yoga, workshops etc. There is also the use of a lovely garden and above-ground swimming pool for guests.*/ The garden has a lawn, flower beds, pine trees, a palm tree, an almond tree and a pear tree.
