Winter Park Resort consistently receives 9 Meters of snow per season AND has the most consistent snow season after season. Trails: 3,060 total skiable acreage (1,521 hectares), includes 143 designated trails and 1,212 acres (490 hectares) of off-piste terrain, including Vasquez Cirque and glade skiing. With Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Difficult and Expert Only Trails and 25 chair lifts all in one location there is truly something for everyone here. Snow is made on 26 trails covering 299 acres (121 hectares). Winter Park Ski Resort's snowmaking capabilites guarantee the opening of Winter Park Ski Resort before Thanksgiving. In addition to skiing there are numerous Winter Activities: Snowshoeing, snowboarding, ice skating, snow tubing, dog sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides, nastar skating, and snow cat rides just to name a few. Adventurous summer activities include: mountain biking, golf, fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding, backpacking and camping. There is also an amusement park on the grounds of the ski resort.
