Detached house in Porto Valtravaglia with a nice lawned garden and lovely view on Lake Maggiore, Italy. This private villa is conveniently structured on one floor and furbished as a typical holiday home: it has basic but decent furnishing and is equipped with all modern comforts to enjoy a carefree, relaxing vacation. The most renowned towns of Lago Maggiore on the Piedmont side are Arona, Stresa with its refined elegance, Verbania Pallanza and the town Intra, the charming village Cannero Riviera with a nice beach and Cannobio, close to Switserland. On the Lombard side there are the town Luino and its famous market, Maccagno with a popular beach, the charming Laveno and its cableway towards a panoramic view, and finally the laid-back village Angera and its Castle La Rocca. From Stresa there is a cableway up to the Mottarone mountain providing a spectacular view over Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. In winter it’s possible to ski here and in summer it’s a great day out for walking around or mountain biking your way down to Stresa.

This vacation property is situated in the residential outskirts of the lakefront village Porto Valtravaglia (1,5 km). It has a charming little center with a few bars and restaurants, marina and ferry station, and a small beach at the lake. The lively town of Luino is located at 8 km with the largest open market of Northern Italy. At Laveno (11 km) you can easily hop on any ferry to explore the Maggiore lake (regular schedule towards Verbania, Stresa and the Borromeo islands). Lake Maggiore is the second biggest Italian lake after Lago di Garda, its eastern bank is in Lombardy, the western in Piedmont while the northern section extends into Switzerland. The charming little towns along its shores are popular resorts today with their grand hotels recalling the Belle Epoque. Especially noteworthy are the Borromeo islands just in front of Stresa, these small islands include: Isola Bella with a majestic pallace, Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s Island) and Isola Madre with a bothanical garden.

Rental notes: Security deposit on arrival (obligatory): 200 euro. Final cleaning (obligatory): 75 euro. Heating charge based on consumption. Domestic animals allowed: 10 euro per night.

The holiday house accommodates up to 9 persons. The spacious living room with large windows has a double sofa bed, comfortable couches, sat TV, DVD, open fire place and piano. Small separate kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms: one bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with two single beds and one children bedroom with bunk beds. An extra single bed can be added. Bathroom with tub and enclosed shower.

Outside Area:Outside you'll find a spacious covered terrace with dining table and chairs. The villa has a large garden with green lawn, deck chairs and a beautiful view on Lago Maggiore. Garage parking space available.
