Two delightful character cottages with views over a wooded valley leading to a pretty trout stream. They are equipped to a very high standard. Each will sleep 8 people and each has satellite TV, DVD/video, electric central heating and a cheerful wood burning stove for those crisp winter evenings. La Grange is a converted stable and La Pommeraie (so called because it sits in an apple orchard) is a character farmhouse.

Nestling on the Brittany/ Normandy border, these two delightful gites are furnished and equipped to five star standards while retaining their historic character. The gites benefit from a heated (in summer) 7 metre swimming pool in a walled garden and offer a croquet lawn (with ample opportunity for cheating!) and a boules court. There are rural views and pleasant local walks, while nearby sports include horse riding, trout fishing, tennis and golf, and an amusement park is just 20 kilometres away. Ninety minutes or less from ferry ports at St Malo, Caen or Cherbourg and Caen, Rennes or Dinard airports, your dog-friendly holiday homes are approximately half way between Fougéres and Avranches (~15 - 18km). We are about a kilometre from the village of St Georges de Reintembault with everyday shops, bars and restaurant and 6 km from St James, famous for its knitwear. The nearest beach is about 20 minutes away. Sightseeing could not be easier: within about 45 minutes drive are Mont St Michel; the fishing village of Concale; medieval Vitré; Dinan, the artist's colony; Bayeux; and the Normandy beaches. Saumur, in the heart of the Loire valley, is about two and a half hours, while we have made the trip to Paris in around three and a half hours. Internet access by arrangement.

La Grange, originally a nineteenth century stable building is now a delightful cottage with views over a wooded valley leading to a pretty trout stream. La Pommeraie is a stone farmhouse. Both are equipped to a very high standard. La Grange will sleep 8 people in 4 double bedrooms with 2 with en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom. La Pommeraie sleeps 8 in 2 king-sized doublle bedrooms, one with 2 full size bunk beds and one with 2 double beds. La Pommeraie has a family bathroom with wc; a seperate wc; and a shower room with wc. La Pommeraiae has kitchen, dining room, sitting room. La Grange has a cosy kitchen and dining/living room areas. Both have electric ovens, hobs, microwave, washi ng machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and a rfull ange of kitchen appliances. The gites are equipped with FreeSat satellite TV, DVD and video player. and an ample supply of books, DVDs, videos and games is provided for the entertainment of our guests. Bed linen, towels and guest soaps are provided plus a welcome pack of a bottle of fizz, bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee. Both have a cheerful wood burning stove for those crisp winter evenings. Country walks to the stream (with a bridge for pooh sticks!)and across fields. Horse riding 5 minute walk.

Outside Area:La Grange has a terrace in front with outdooe furniture and a gas barbecue and shares the walled garden and the pool with La Pommeraie. La Pommraie has a fenced garden to lawn in front, with outside furniture and barbecue and, to the rear, a lawn and apple orchard. The gites share a 7-metre pool, heated in summer, with a decked pool area in fenced and gated area within a secure and secluded walled garden, with an assortment of outdoor games including boules and croquet.
