Champigny is our rural Vendee holiday home with pool. Sleeping up to 12 people our rural retreat is set in private grounds with a large heated pool. Set in a peaceful and tranquil location, 'Champigny' is newly renovated and close to the historic village of Faymoreau. The sunny climate that can be enjoyed at our Vendee holiday home with pool has been compared with that of the Cote d'Azur. The local area offers many interesting places to visit.a favourite of ours is Coulons. The village of Faymoreau is very close and the local large chateau is only a few minutes away. Our holiday home in the Vendee is ideally situated for for walking, cycling and fishing. Supermarkets are a ten minute drive. When you stay at our holiday home to rent in the Vendee, you can explore the local history A fishing permit can be obtained from the Mayor's office locally to fish the local lake five minutes from the house. There is also a local golf course and you can read more about this and other activities in the area on our Local Info page. that is the village of Faymoreau. Found inland from the west coast of France, this charming location has its own mining museum. The medieval village of Vouvant is just 15 minutes away. The River Mere flows through the village which is surrounded by a large forest with cycle routes, picnic areas and lakes for watersports.

Our holiday home in the Vendee is situated close to the historic village of Faymoreau with its own mining museum and 15 minutes from the medieval village of Vouvant.the river Mere flows through the village which is surrounded by a large forest with cycle routes, picnic areas & lakes. Champigny is situated approx 25 miles East of the coastal resort of La Rochelle (airport), on the edge of the beautiful woodland Mervent Forest National Park, with its lakes, beaches and lovely walks. La Rochelle is an ancient, historic port with towers and palaces. It is a bustling port and there are many waterside cafes specialising in freshly caught seafood where you can sample the local cuisine. On a Sunday morning, local French artists exhibit and sell their wares on the waterfront. La Rochelle has beaches, an aquarium and many other attractions including the Ile de Re which is well worth a visit and can be reached by a 3km long bridge. The Atlantic coast port of Les Sables D'Olonne, from where the Vendee Globe yacht race starts and finishes, is one hour's drive away. It is a vibrant port with miles of golden sand and also has a zoo and an aquarium. La Tranche sur Mer and L'Aiguillon sur Mer are both a forty-five minute drive away and also offer miles of golden sand and are ideal for swimming and families. The west coast of France is about 45 minutes away with many beautiful beaches (the Gallery shows photos of two of them).

Recently renovated, our accommodation to rent in the Vendee, Champigny, is in a quarter of an acre of grounds with a large private swimming pool. The location is peaceful and quiet surrounded by fields and forests, boasting private unspoilt views towards the Vendee countryside. The five bedrooms at Champigny have been finished in a contemporary neutral style in keeping with the "rural retreat" theme carried through rest of our holiday home in the Vendee. There are two double bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and one bedroom with a bunk bed so you and your guests have a variety of rooms to choose between. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge. There are two bathrooms, clean and bright. There is an additional toilet, providing three in total. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would expect from your accommodation to rent in the Vendee including a microwave and halogen hob. We also have Sky TV, and a DVD player in the lounge for indoor entertainment during your stay.

Outside Area:Work on the pool finished in April 2006. It has lights for an enchanting evening appearance and is filtered using a unique salt water system. The deep end slopes to 2m and it measures 11m by 7m. Before your stay the pool will be thoroughly cleaned and treated. Measuring just under a quarter of an acre, the garden is a great place for peace and quiet. The large decked area leading off the property, includes a covered terrace area, an outside eating area, barbeque and children's play equipment.
