Haute Vienne holiday bed and breakfast - Comfortable Limousin B & B, france

The B&B is in the beautiful Haute Vienne area of France, situated half way between Bellac in the North and Saint Junien to the south, both are only a 20 minute drive, or Limoges, the capital of the area is just 45 minutes. A must when visiting this part of France is a trip to Oradour Sur Glane and the Centre De Le Memoire, 15 minutes by car, alternatively within a 5km radius there is marked walking trails, horse riding through the Blond Mountains, cycling, a little nearer is a golf club or a little further the canoe and kayak club as well as a host of museum's, the aquarium, botanical gardens and not forgeting the famous porcelain factories for which the area is well known.

Bellac was founded in the late middle ages, the town was for a long period surrounded by ramparts, you can still admire the twelfth century church of Notre Dame perched high above the valley of the Rive de Vancou. In Bellac you will find some large super markets, the usual host of small shops as well as bars and café's. Saint Junien is the second largest town in the Haute Vienne and stretches from the banks of the river Vienne to the banks of the river Glane. the town stands at the intersection of the main routes that link the Alpes to the sea, and Paris to the Pyrenees, it also is the gateway to the "Perigorg-Limousin National park". Limoges was founded by the romans in 16BC and many ancient building and quaint old streets are still to be found in the old quarter, "Les Halles".

We have three large rooms to let, the family room, which can easily hold five and a cot if nesesary (29sqm) plus a huge bathroom with bath, shower cubical, sink and toilet, the second room will hold three (double plus a single bed), this room also has its own bath room, with bath/ shower over, sink and toilet, and the third room has a double bed again with its own bathroom as above. All rooms have tea/ coffee making facilities, TV and central heating for all year comfort.

Outside Area:The house sits in 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens with a stream the "Chateau Brun" running along its northern boundry, the house it self, is surounded by tiled terraces on three sides, the forth being the long drive way to the front gate. There is a large pool (65sqm) for your use as well as tables, chairs and loungers. Should you wish to have lunch by the pool there is a covered area, evening meals can also be served outside ( weather permiting), and by prior notice.
