The tower is the most dramatic feature of the estate, and evokes the tower in nearby Monterosso. The most glorious moment of the day can be enjoyed from the tower at sunset and on clear days may include an amazing view of the volcanos at Stromboli in the Aeolian Islands and Etna in Sicily. For our guests we offer restaurant with foods that accent the ancient flavors of the Angitola Valley. The extra virgin olive oil produced in our farmhouse and the full-bodied wine of the Angitola Valley rule the table, marrying beautifully with our unique traditional dishes. Monterosso is one of those small hilltowns that enchants visitors once they have discovered it. The town has a medieval structure wrapped around a hill topped by a tower probably of Norman origins from the 11th century. The tranquil streets that are interwoven in a labyrinth give one the sense of the arcane and mysterious. The town overlooks the beautiful Angitola Valley, a territory rich in history that has been dominated by various civilizations from Greek to Roman and from Arab to Norman. Its award winning museum contains artifacts of local crafts and agriculture of the past. Even today there are local craftspeople and artisans who continue the traditional work in clay, iron and wood.
