Chris and Heidi would like to offer you a warm welcome to their elegant and grand Victorian home, called Penrose, located in the picturesque and historic town of Lostwithiel. We are proud to announce we have been awarded 4 stars by the AA. Penrose is an elegent Victorian House built in 1880 which retains a wealth of original features, including fireplaces in most of the large rooms, cornicing, ceiling roses, chandeliers, high ceilings and stained glass windows. Even though Penrose is elegant and grand, when you walk in you will experience a homely atmosphere. There is off road parking at the back of the house just off Scrations Lane.

Penrose is located on the outskirts of Lostwithiel, but only a 5 minute walk to the centre. There are lots of amenities close by, including a golf course, train station, outdoor activities by local arrangement, castle, coastal walks, cycling, gardens, fishing, sailing and of course The Eden Project. The local beach is a 10-minute drive away and the north west coast is only 40 minutes. Lostwithiel is well placed to explore the whole of Cornwall.

Most of the rooms are lovely and large with ensuite facilities, plus comfy seating and lots of added extras. Chris & Heidi endeavour to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. There is free Wifi, and a computer available in the dining room. Children and dogs are welcome as well Penrose has to offer four family bedrooms, two double bedrooms and a small, cosy twin room with separate private bathroom (bathrobes are provided). The family rooms can also be used as double or twin rooms. All the ensuites and bathroom have electric showers, plus fresh towels, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. We have a selection of chocolate and diet/coke cans available in the hallway. DVD’s are also available. We can provide an iron and ironing board, and guests have the use a fridge. We can offer a luxury package for guests. This includes a bottle of wine, cream tea, chocolates and the use of towelling bathrobes, there is a one off charge of £20, and we need 24 hours notice. Penrose also offers internet access and fax facilities. Ideal for maintaining business and private communication.
