La Foret holiday gite rental - Self catering Burgundy gite, France

La Foret is a small hamlet in Burgundy, France, on the borders of Saone et Loire and Cote D`Or, where we have a lovely holiday cottage available for rent. The property was built around 1652, and was originally a small farmhouse. The house is detached with various outbuildings and plenty of land around it. The presence of plenty of oxygen in the air, due to so many woods and forests around, ensures a really good night`s sleep.

Burgundy is perhaps the largest region in central France, starting south of Paris and stretching southwards towards the sun. It is particularly famous for its fine wines and gastronomy, the peaceful countryside, many small chateaux, market towns and wine routes. Our property is situated in Saone et Loire, on its border with the Cote d`Or, Haut Cote de Beaune and Chalonaise. We are also at the gateway to the Morvan, a national park with lakes and an area of outstanding beauty. It is also convenient for visiting Switzerland, Disneyland Paris, or other areas of France via the motorway network.

Rental notes: Balance to be paid - 6 weeks prior. Refundable security deposit - £50

The one bedroom contains a double bed and bunk-beds. There is also a bed settee in the lounge and a separate dining room which can double up as a spare bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are fitted with modern appliances. Both the lounge and dining room are heated by wood burning stoves for cooler weather but a gas heater is also available for occasional use during the summer.

Outside Area:A rear garden and field beyond. There is a gazebo set with wooden table and chairs to shield you from the hot summer sun and garden loungers and barbecue are provided.
