Belize beachfront vacation apartments - Stann Creek self catering apartments

The Green Parrot is a small charming resort located on Maya Beach in Southern Belize (once British Honduras). We are located 7 miles north on the Placencia peninsula -water to the east and west of us. The resort has 8 beach houses: 2 with thatched roof (hold 2 adults) and 6 units that are 2 story that will accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. Each unit has its own bath and deck with hammock. All are on the beach! Great white sand and a wonderful dock to relax on. We also have a restaruant and bar on the property. People love Ruben our bar tender (check out Trip Advisor - as we rank #4 in the area), who makes a great set of tropical drinks. The restaurant serves all fresh food - no frozen dinners here. Fresh fish, veggies, fruit (love those mangos and papayas), local food. The restaurant is open air, with a great thatched roof - you overlook the ocean and will be well taken care of by the staff. We also have a small library for our guests to use. Linda brings her book to the library from the US. So if you have a few extras, bring them down. Books are hard to get in Belize. We also have a few games for the guests and the kids to play on a rainy day. We can arrange all of your tours and domestic air. This is a family operation - we will make sure you have a grand stay. We are not one of those impersonal places that are cropping up in the area - with big pools, loud noise, and high prices.

We are in Souther Belize (formerly British Honduras). We speak English and Leo (the manager - great guy) is from Honduras - so he does the Spanish if you want to try it out on him. We are about 125 miles south of Belize City. Best to fly here via Tropic Air - We can book it for you. We are on the Placencia, peninsual --7 miles north of the Placencia village --which means we are quite at night. It is also a very safe area. You fly from Belize City and we pick you up at the Placencia airstrip -all very easy. Planes come from Houston, Dallas, Miami, LA, and Charloette.

Rental notes: The rates are based on double occupancy. All cabanas rent for the same base price. We have 2 seasons High (December to May) and Low (June to November). Hotel tax is 9% Service charge is 12% We accept Master Card and Visa

We have 8 cabanas - 2 sleep 2, and 6 sleep 4. Each is a separate unit. Each has a deck and hammock Each has a frige. Each has its own bath - with hot water (not all in the area do) The 2 smaller units have thatched roof and outside (enclosed) shower - great for honeymoons

Outside Area:We have a great white sand beach. Lots of tropical flowers. Great view to the east of the Caribbean. Good dock to sit on. Good ocean to swim in. Safe area to walk around.
