La Creuse is an area of outstanding natural beauty within the Limousin region, known as the Lake District of France, located halfway between Paris and Toulouse. It is a land of beautiful lakes, upland pastures and forestry, with stunning gorges along the River Creuse.
It is also rich in history, with the royal tapestry town of Aubusson, the sought after architecture of the Creuse stonemasons and the many charming villages and towns where you can still find medieval buildings used by the pilgrims on their way to Saint Jacques de Compostelle.
