Piana Secca is located in the countryside, 1500 m from Semproniano, 9 km from Saturnia thermal baths. The house, in the mid of a large garden, is surrounded by olive and walnut trees. From the large terrace breathtaking view on the Argentario coast and Giglio Island. Lots of books, videos, table-games and toys for children and adults are available for use. Luisa, experienced mother tongue Italian teacher and Carlo, qualified tourist guide, specialized on the Maremma area, live in Piana Secca. Both of them, speaking English and German will be happy to offer their competences and personal contacts to give you all information you need about the area, in order to choose the best among the luxuriant offer of natural and cultural treasures: from the gastronomy-specialities to the most impressive Etruscan graves. Views:Argentario coast and Monte Labbro

Our house, 1500 m from Semproniano is halfway between the Argentario coast (50 minutes by car), and Mount Amiata. This provides visitors with many opportunities to discover Maremma's endless variety of historical and artistic treasures to be found amidst the unspoiled nature of the countryside. Driving 10 minutes you can reach Saturnia and experience the relaxing power of the sulphur waters, which well up from the ground at 37° C. At a distance of about 20 km are located the famous "Città del Tufo": Sovana, Pitigliano, Sorano, centres of ancient hystorical importance, documented by an abundance of remains, absolutely unique in its kind. At the same distance in the opposite direction is the Monte Labbro, whose perfect conic shape can be seen from Piana Secca. This is a special place enchanting nature lovers with the contrasting features of its landscape: a glorious abundance of rare wild flowers on the fields and at the foot of the mountain in springtime and thorny bushes growing out of the white slopes in winter. The blend of natural beauty and culture which our region offers, has always inspired artists, who choose to live and work here enriching Maremma with masterpieces of modern art. Niki de Saint Phalle created in the "macchia" near Capalbio a marvellous structure, representing the 22 major "Arcana" of the tarot cards (about 60 km). Daniel Spoerri's fantastic sculptures are hidden among the secular trees of his garden on a hill in front of Seggiano (about 30 km)

The 60 m² apartment in the ground floor of our cottage consists of a small kitchen with very large terrace, bathroom with shower, a small bedroom with twins beds and a large library/sitting room with 3 sleeping-places. A huge garden and wood surround the house.

Outside Area:Piana Secca is located in the countryside of Semproniano, surrounded by 3 ha land with secular oaks, laurels, wallnut - fig-and olive trees. Some delicious vegetable are grown in front of the house: our guests are invited to collect and taste. Next to our property there is an animal-park on one side and the road leading to Saturnia on the other side: Vou can visit the park and walk on the road lined by the biggest and most beautiful olive trees of the area.
