Holiday villa with swimming pool and stunning lakeview near Luino, Lake Maggiore Italy. This holiday villa is very peacefully situated in a residential area upon the hills overlooking Luino at Lago Maggiore, Italy. Near the house are a grocery store and restaurant. The lively town center of Luino is located at 4 km with many shops, restaurants and a marvellous promenade along the lake. From there you can easily hop on any ferry to discover the beautiful Maggiore lake. Luino is also well known for its weekly open market which is considered to be the largest market of Northern Italy.

Lake Maggiore is the second biggest Italian lake after Lago di Garda, its eastern bank is in Lombardy, the western in Piedmont while the northern section extends into Switzerland. The charming little towns along its shores are popular resorts today with their grand hotels recalling the Belle Epoque. The most renowned towns of Lago Maggiore on the Piedmont side are Arona, Stresa with its refined elegance, Verbania Pallanza and the town Intra, the charming village Cannero Riviera with a nice beach and Cannobio, close to Switserland. On the Lombard side there are the town Luino and its famous market, Maccagno with a popular beach, the charming Laveno and its cableway towards a panoramic view, and finally the laid-back village Angera and its Castle La Rocca. Especially noteworthy are the Borromeo islands just in front of Stresa, these small islands include: Isola Bella with a majestic pallace, Isola dei Pescatori (Fishermen’s Island) and Isola Madre with a bothanical garden. From Stresa there is a cableway up to the Mottarone mountain providing a spectacular view over Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta. In winter it’s possible to ski here and in summer it’s a great day out for walking around or mountain biking your way down to Stresa. Just next to the golden triangle of Lake Maggiore (Stresa, Verbania, Laveno), don’t forget to visit the beautiful monastery of Santa Caterina del Sasso.

Rental notes: Prices are quoted for 4 persons rental, price above 4 persons: 15 euro per person per day. Security deposit on arrival (refundable): 200 euro. Final cleaning (obligatory): 75 euro. Heating charge based on consumption. Domestic animals allowed: 10 euro per night.

This detached vacation house can accommodate 4 to 7 people and is structured on 2 floors: The entrance is at the upper level which has a bedroom with 2 single beds, bathroom with shower, small fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a bright living room with open fireplace, comfortable couches and satellite TV. The large sliding windows give access to the terrace (32m²) with outdoor fireplace and a panoramic view over Lake Maggiore. The lower floor disposes of a lounge area, bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom, bedroom with bunk beds (double bed above and single bed below), small bathroom with shower, access to the balcony.

Outside Area:The house is surrounded by numerous tall Mediterranean plants which include palm trees, lemon and kiwi trees and magnolias. From the balcony there are spiral stairs going down to the swimming pool (4x8m) ideal for cooling down in the warm summer months. Next to the pool is a solarium with sun loungers and a lovely view on the Lake Maggiore.
