The village is very peaceful, boasting 2 tapas bars, and village shop. There is also a council run tapas bar/ swimming pool with a lifeguard, which is open June to September, a children’s play area and a sports area.
The village is situated in ideal walking country, also a painter’s paradise, with wonderful mountain views. If you like the beach this is just a short drive away.

Sorbas is famous for its Caves and historic buildings and magnificent views. From there you can get to Circito Almeria (Motor Circuit) pretend you are Barry Sheen or Lewis Hamilton. Continuing on the N340a you come to Fort Bravo, which is the film set of the original Spaghetti Western, where you can be Clint Eastwood for the day. Very well worth a visit. Not far from Fort Bravo is the Western Theme Park of Oasys, which also incorporates a Zoo. Carrying on you take the motorway to Almeria.
Going from the Casa and turning left onto N340a and join the E15 heading North, take the first exit, this will take you to the very special Moorish village of Mojacar which needs to be explored.
