A 3 bed room cosy detached cottage located in a secluded and elevated position behind the hill that overlooks Kilpadogue, Tarbert, hence the cottage name “back of the Hill” .The cottage overlooks the Shannon Estuary in beautiful County Kerry. The cottage has outstanding views of the surrounding countryside, the river Shannon and the coast line of County Clare. Directly outside the cottage is a lane that leads down to a secluded beach. The cottage has two double bedrooms, one of which is fitted with a large double bed and the other with two single beds. The third bedroom has a single bed. There is a fold away bed available for a child in the larger of the double bedrooms, thereby sleeping 6 in total. The bedrooms are furnished with wardrobes, drawers and side cabinets. There is a small cosy lounge fitted with a leather chesterfield suite, display cabinets, raised electric flame effect fire, nest of small tables, TV and Video players. The lounge has two windows with views to the front overlooking countryside. The kitchen/dinning room is very large and is well equipped and includes electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, large pine dresser, large pine dinning table and chairs. There are three windows, two of which have fabulous views over the Shannon Estuary.

The location of the property is secluded and very private and is at the back of the hill overlooking the village of Tarbert; however the village is only a 15 minute walk away which gives easy access if you do not want to take the car with you on an evening out at the local pub. Tarbert is the gateway to the Kingdom of Kerry. The location on the Shannon Estuary with its scenic surroundings allows for many activities to suit all interests. Tarbert is central to many of the wonderful amenities available in Kerry, central to magnificent golf courses such as Ballybunion and its breathtaking beaches. Take the opportunity to visit Tralee’s many attractions from the Blennerville Windmill to the action packed AquaDome, all within a short 40 minute drive. Kerry is famed for its walks and hiking so why not sample some of its scenic mountains and coastlines or follow the Kerry way and take a trip back in Irish history.
