Villa Despina is located just ten minutes' drive from the famous Preveli beach and monastery, often referred to as one of Crete's best places. Quiet and peaceful, yet only ten minutes from Plakias and twenty minutes from the larger resorts such as Rethymno, the villa has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out. Very close to the villa is located the restaurant Despina, which belongs to the same owners as the villa and offers a variety of traditional Cretan food. The villa benefits from its own private pool, with a separated children's pool perfect for the children. Leading from the living room is a spacious balcony with stunning mountain views to the Kourtaliotis Gorge, furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. The upstairs balcony has a big place for relaxing as well, as well as enjoying the view to the beach and the mountains. There is partly sea view from the balconies of the villa. With two triple bedrooms and one double and one twin bedroom, the villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. There is a barbeque at the yard and a big garden for games outside. Bus stop to Rethymno-Preveli-Plakias at a distance of 70 meters from the villa.

Villa Despina is located between Asomatos and Lefkogeia, two small cretan villages. In Asomatos you can visit the Museum of Papa Michalis Georgoulakis, which has a lot of traditional and religious pieces to admire. Just before Asomatos, you pass from the Kourtaliotiko Gorge, which is great to visit and spend some time going down to the river which starts from the gorge and ends at Preveli beach. Above the beach you can visit the famous and historic monastery of Preveli. The touristic village of Plakias and the marvellous beaches of Souda, Damnoni, Ammoudi, Skinaria are also a few kilometers away. You can do watersports, climbing, walking tours, fishing and diving at the area. You can do horseriding at Damnoni area, where there is a horse and donkey farm. The flora and fauna are very interesting, as well as birdwatching could be very interesting as well. A few meters away from te villa, you can find the Despina tavern with tasty traditional food.

Outside Area:The garden has two banks and a table ideal for dining outside or relaxing and reading in peace.There are balconies everywhere. There is large parking area around the villa. A big swimming pool with separated pool for the children and sunbeds is available at the yard. The barbeque is at the yard as well, in case that you would like to organise your own barbeque party.
