Elaia is a beautiful traditional village house, restored and extended. Sleeps 6 in three en-suite bedrooms. Situated near the centre of a thriving village on the eastern edge of the Troodos. Local walks and charming village square. An ideal base for exploring Nicosia’s old city and places of interest, the pine-clad mountains with their picturesque villages and the beauty of the coast.

Lythrodontas is a thriving village, nestled on the eastern edge of the Troodos foothills. It is known for its olive oil and offers lovely walks in the surrounding area. During the day it is peaceful but it comes alive in late afternoon, when people return home to enjoy good food and company. The closest beaches are either side of Larnaca, around 40 minutes' drive. We like Fig Tree Bay at Paralimni/Protaras, which is around an hour's drive in the south east corner of the island. There are swimming pools at Latsia (20 minutes) and Nicosia (30 minutes). Around the village: Enjoy exploring the village and meeting friendly local people, Go for countryside walks, including on the European long-distance path E4, Visit the beautifully decorated new church, with its hand-painted murals and icons, Enjoy the ‘kaffeneion’ coffee shops in the charming village square, Go mountain-biking or horse-riding, Relax at Elaia soaking up the ambience of Cypriot village life. Local amenities include: Two restaurants, one known for its excellent Cyprus meze - a selection of a dozen or more local dishes. Local takeaways - souvlaki and sheftalia, served with salad in pitta bread. Coffee shops in and around the village square. Cypriot patisseries and village bakers. A well-stocked supermarket, selling local cheese, meat, fruit and wine. The village also has a petrol station, a bank, a doctor and a chemist.

The entrance to Elaia has a balcony overlooking the village. The dichori is a spacious restored traditional lounge and there is a fully equipped kitchen and dining room. The Family Room, on the ground floor has a double bed, a bunk bed and en suite. The Palm Room has two single beds and en suite. The Village Room has a double bed and en suite.

Outside Area:The courtyard has plants, flowers and a large table, chairs and canopy.
