Our luxurious year-round retreat is located on 1 acre with 148' of Georgian Bay shoreline near Owen Sound, Ontario. Manicured lawns and pathways gently slope toward an amazing firepit and the water. The gentle slope continues on the shoreline which is comprised of shallow layered, smooth stone - a great place for fossil finding and a bit of stone skipping. Sunrises are absolutely stunning on Georgian Bay! This breath-taking waterfront property has solid pine floors, walls and ceilings on the main and loft levels. A 22-foot vaulted ceiling in the great room features floor-to-ceiling windows to the east overlooking the bay and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace to the west. The retreat is fully air-conditioned, has a gas furnace and supplemental electrical heat in all rooms. The entertainment system includes satellite, 2 televisions, 2 VCRs, CD player, speakers on two levels, a nice selection of videos for all ages. There is a stocked toy closet with board games and outside toys for children.

Sunrises are absolutely stunning on Georgian Bay! Guests are welcome to use our harbour next door to dock their boat. They are also most welcome to hike our neighbouring 130 acres of sub-escarpment land with 5km of trails (groomed in the winter for snowmobiles, cross country skiing and snowshoeing). Ski resorts (Blue Mountain, Talisman .) are within 1 hours' drive; several golf courses (Owen Sound Golf & Country Club, Stone Tree .) within 1/2 hour and sandy beaches (Sauble Beach)within 30 minutes' drive.

Rental notes: Rates are based on 4 persons occupying the retreat. Each additional person, including children (except infants), are extra. Rates include everything as listed under "inclusions". On the May and September long weekends, if there are no children in the group, we rent to a maximum of eight adults only. We require only the non-taxable, refundable $500 booking/security/damage deposit to hold your vacation timeframe

Outside Area:Lots of privacy is available with 3 decks: a small wooden deck off the kitchen with sitting area and propane barbecue; a large 12x24 wooden deck off the great room facing the water with ample furniture; and a large stone patio off the rec room facing the shoreline.
