St. Peter’s is a small village in Broadstairs. Its history goes back more than a thousand years. The quaint character of the area is due in part to the many houses, churches and walls made of flintstone. St. Peter’s Church, which was built in Norman times, is entirely built from the local flintstone found on the beaches here. In bygone days the whole area was a smugglers’ nest. At some beaches you can see the smuggler’s caves high up in the chalk cliffs and in nearby Margate you can visit the Smugglers’ caves. Broadstairs and St Peter’s were popular Victorian bathing resorts and they retain the historical atmosphere of that era. There are 7 beautiful beaches to choose from. Viking Bay (see picture at top) has a crescent shaped beach and a picturesque harbour overlooked by Bleak House, where Charles Dickens wrote David Copperfield. Joss Bay and Botony Bay are more secluded. Broadstairs summers are sunnier and hotter than in most parts of England.

Rental notes: Full sum is required 8 weeks before your holiday begins. Changeover day is always Saturday - the arrival time is no earlier than 16.00 with departures at the latest at 10.00 am. Folk week surcharge £150

Living room with TV and DVD player, overlooking the sunny garden. The sofa can convert to a queensize double bed. Bedrooms have kingsized, queensized and single beds plus pull out truckle-bed. Fully equipped kitchen with table and chairs. The dining room connects onto a small glassed in patio with an easy chair and small coffee table.

Outside Area:It has a private, sunny garden with garden furniture, a garage with forecourt for safe parking.
