Villa del Faro is a small and unique oasis nestled on a deserted beach on the Sea of Cortez, in Mexico. The villa was created as a labor of love by artisans and architects on 12 acres of gardens and desert, overlooking miles of deserted beach. The only access is a bumpy road, but getting there is well worth the trip. Villa del Faro is one hour north of the Los Cabos Airport, but it is a world away in seclusion and serenity. We offer five very private casitas from the Stone Beach Cottage to the elegant Casa Alberca. It is not a place for everyone. It offers solitude instead of shops, long walks on the beach, hikes into the deep arroyos instead of golf, watching the whales play from your private balcony instead of TV, and personal care from the friendly family who run and own it. A stay in this beautiful place is more like being a guest in someone’s fabulous home, which is exactly what the owners intended.

There are miles of empty beach, trails into the mountains, ocean swimming, bird watching, snorkeling, scuba-diving at the nearby marine park, whale watching from your private balcony. We are 5 km from some of the best surf spots in Baja Sur. There can be wonderful fishing, which is one of the things that brought us here in the beginning. You can fish from the shore or we can arrange for you to charter the "Awesome" which will pick you up in front of the house. Fishing trips are also guided from Cabo Pulmo in small local pangas if you would like. We are always glad to cook any fish our guests catch. There is a protected marine park in the area where responsible ecological rules are followed. This is the only living coral reef on the east coast of Baja California. There is incredible snorkling here and a plethora of underwater delights. We encourage our guests to visit the park and enjoy its extraordinary diving and snorkeling. You can also rent kayaks and diving gear there.

We offer five separate accommodations, Casa Alberca, Casita Tres, Casita Dos – North & South Suites, and the Stone Beach Cottage. Rates range from $140 USD to $385 USD per night. They all share a large mosaic pool and all have spectacular ocean views. Each is unique with hand crafted furnishings, stone fireplaces and private terraces set in a world of gardens, fountains and a dramatic Oceanside Baja environment.
