Our Cedar House is constructed of red cedar from British Columbia. Expansive decks extend the length of the house affording commanding views in all directions. All exterior walls are full-length louvered windows, allowing for the regulation of light and breeze. The Cedar House and our nearby Boulder House (see other listing) are owned and operated by the Hunter family in a partnership called Hunter Homes, Ltd. The Hunter family has made Virgin Gorda a second home for more than three decades. We love to share our homes with both newcomers as well as our regular annual visitors. For this reason, we keep our rates quite modest. If you don’t need the luxury of a private pool and a fancy villa, our private home might be your ticket to the perfect, affordable vacation! Beyond the surrounding Valley area, you view Gorda Peak and Virgin Gorda's north end, the island-dotted Caribbean Sea, and the open Atlantic Ocean.

Virgin Gorda, with a population of about 2500 and a total area of 21 square kilometers, is the second largest of the British Virgin Islands after the capital, Tortola. Visitors are immediately struck by the beauty, hospitality, and peace of the island. There are some 20 beaches and excellent snorkeling locations on Virgin Gorda. The island is known for the beauty of its white sand beaches often framed by huge boulders. With the exception of the famous Baths, the beaches are seldom crowded. A variety of restaurants is available for dining out. There are several small shopping areas where food and supplies can be purchased. Snorkeling equipment and other water sports equipment can be rented.

Rental notes: The final payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Christmas week rate for 1-4 people is 2,455USD, either house. Additional Guests: Youths age 3-18 yrs: 20USD/night Additional Adults: 25USD/night Visits of less than 1 week, for the first two guests, will be 256USD/night(summer), and 330USD/night (winter). Rarely offered in winter season.
