Apartment Rio, a 2 storey 2 bedroom apartment, in the historic centre, is on the top floor of the building situated just a few steps away from the bank of the river and the Roman Bridge. it is close to any historical sights or amenities you can wish for, like restaurants, cafés, supermarkets , the old restored vegetable and fish market and various garden squares where you can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the town. The apartment is also in walking distance to the public pool and public gym.

The Portuguese call Tavira the "prettiest town in the Algarve". It is a medieval town built on either side of a river, which is spanned by a seven-arch Roman Bridge. Elegant 18th century houses border the Rio Gilao. Castle ruins overlook at least 30 churches. Tavira is renowned for its historical past. The coast by Tavira belongs to the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa. It is consisting of dunes and a lagoon complex, a paradise for bird watching, which is known as Ilha da Tavira and runs along the coast. On the beach there are cafés, bars and restaurants, serving anything from sandwiches to regional dishes and shellfish delicacies.

Rental notes: The balance is due 45 days prior to the start of the holiday rental. A 5th bed can be supplied and will be charged according to season price. A baby cot can be supplied for at an additional charge of Euro 30 per week. Arrival time is after 3pm and deaprture time is by 10am.

The apartment is comfortably furnished throughout and comprises on the first floor an entrance hall with built in cupboard, a fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar, a twin bedroom, a bathroom, a lounge and a dining area. A staircase is leading from the lounge to the upper floor comprising a little kitchen with a fridge, a bedroom with a king size bed, an en-suite bathroom with a WC, bidet and a wahing basin as well as a little room where you can store additional belongings.This top floor is well suited for children, who love this "little apartment" for themselves.
