Kotor vacation apartment rental - Superb 2 bed home in Bay of Kotor, Montenegro

Our apartment has a superb position looking over the Boka Kotorska and across to the mountains. There are two bedrooms, one with a big double bed, and the other with two single beds, and there's a double sofabed in the living room, sleeping 6 in total. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and the bathroom has a shower and washing machine. The apartment is in the heart of the attractive village of Orahovac, with small shops, cafes, and a gently sloping beach; ideal for family swimming. The water is salty, therefore buoyant, and without waves as it is inland. Boat trips can be taken here, or in nearby Perast (a world heritage site) to the stunningly beautiful island churches. The medieval walled town of Kotor (also a world heritage site) is full of cafes, restaurants, churches and museums, and the walk round its fortifications is well worth doing. Further afield, there's white water rafting down the Tara canyon, boating on Lake Skadar, swimming in the sea at Budva and other resorts, walking in the mountains, and plenty of good restaurants.

The Boka Kotorska is stunningly attractive, fringed by huge mountains which can be easily explored on foot for superb views. High up behind the apartment is the tiny church of St George, perched on a crag. On the waters edge there are bars and cafes, should you need tempting out of the water. We spend hours in and on the water - the water is very warm, and banana boats are available and great fun, or there are boat trips around the Boka. The maritime history of the area goes back many centuries, and there are fascinating museums everywhere. Particularly interesting is the one on Our Lady of the Rock, a most beautiful island off Perast, the nearest of the two local world heritage sites.

Rental notes: Cleaning and change of linen each week. Towels included, but recommend bringing own towels for the beach.

One large double bedroom with its own balcony and large double bed; second bedroom has two single beds. Both have superb views of the Boka. Spacious living room with double sofabed leads out onto large balcony with table and chairs for six people. Well-equipped kitchen with 'fridge and freezer; bathroom with shower and washing machine.

Outside Area:Outside the villa there are parking spaces for easy access to the apartment. A wide and well-lit staircase leads up from the garden to the apartment.
